Creative Bridges brings a fresh approach to music learning.
Our philosophy is to foster a love of playing music before anything else. If we do this then everything else about learning and playing music becomes easier and happens more naturally.
We accomplish this by making the study of music as fun as possible. Our courses are group based so that the student enjoys and learns how to perform with others from day one. We play games that involve listening, improvisation, and rhythm to build skills. We break songs down into their simplest components to bring the joy of mastering a performance to the student as a soon as possible. All these things together reinforce positive behavior around the process of learning music.
Fun + Creativity + Community = Confidence.
Our winter 2026 schedule is now available. Currently we are accepting enrolments for Band Jam, Peanut Butter & Jam, and Musical Explorers. These are programs designed for the young learner between the ages of 5 and 14.
We are currently conducting lessons at Snow Valley Christian Fellowship unless noted otherwise, it's located at 1361 8th Ave.
Creative Bridges is a newly founded organization under the direction of Sonia Roy and Chris David in Fernie, British Columbia. Our purpose is developing opportunities for musicians and artists to learn, play, and create together. Our initial foray is focused on an extra curricular program for ages 8 - 16 designed to inspire the creation of music itself. In the future we hope to offer more programs to the broader community. And we also have plans to bring in guest speakers who can share their knowledge of music as an artform with all of the community.
Currently, we offer courses that are a mix of group and private lessons intended for specific age ranges. Our vision extends to offer courses for adult learners, opportunities for folks to play together, opportunities for parents to play music with their children, and even a program designed to allow beginners to simply get on a stage with various instruments and be guided on what to do, and more...
